Ever watch the infomercials for the Nordic Track fitness machines?  Why were they so popular other than they were a highly promoted infomercial?  Because they mimic the movements of cross country skiing.  Just like running, cross country skiing is a tremendous aerobic exercise.  Don’t believe me?  Go strap on some cross country skis and try it yourself.  After just

Riding a bicycle.  This can be a great exercise, but needs to be done on country roads and hilly roads at that for the best fat burning effects.  You can use spinning or cycle bikes at your local gym or in your house, but these will not have the same level of calorie burning as real bicycle riding.  You also have to cover much more terrain than with running for the same benefits and it will take longer.
